Sports Performance Program for the
Personalized programs are designed to improve speed, quickness, and power for the athlete participating in multiple sports. An initial pre-test of speed, agility, and power is given to measure the athlete's initial athletic abilities. An individualized program is designed based on the athlete's goals and pre-test results. Program length is most commonly 6-8 weeks in duration. At the end of the program a post-test is conducted to determine the results of the training program.
Sports Performance Program for a Specific Sport
Programs for athletes wanting to focus on improving their athletic skills for a specific sport are similar to the programs for the multi-sport athlete. An initial pre-test is given to measure the athlete's initial athletic abilities. The difference between the programs for a specific sport and the multi-sport athlete is the training program design. The training component of the program over 6-8 weeks is designed for greater specificity toward the desired sport. Drills for speed, agility, or power are designed closely to match the specific needs of the athlete's sport. At the end of the program, a post-test is conducted to determine the results of the training program.
Video Running Analysis
The area's only video analysis to analyze running mechanics is available for competitive or recreational runners. Video of a runner is captured while running on a treadmill. The video is then analyzed at slow motion speed to detect faulty running mechanics or deficits in strength and flexibility. A runner is then instructed on a program of drills and exercises to improve lack of flexibility or strength or change their running pattern.The improved running pattern will increase speed and endurance as well as reduce the chance of chronic injuries. This service is most suitable for middle or long distance runners.
Video Throwing/Pitching Analysis
The area's only video analysis to analyze throwing and pitching is available for baseball and softball players. Video of an athlete throwing or pitching is captured and then analyzed at slow motion speed to detect faulty mechanics. An athlete is then instructed on a program of drills and exercises to improve their throwing mechanics. The improved throwing and pitching will increase speed and accuracy as well as reduce the chance of chronic injuries.
